发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER INK RIBBON
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a printing superior in fixing properties with a lower energy, by a method wherein the composition ratio of a resin ingredient in an ink layer is made larger towards a substrate and a release layer is provided between the substrate and the ink layer. CONSTITUTION:In an ink layer 2, a thermoplastic resin 7 is compounded larger in amount toward the side of a substrate 3 and smaller toward a surface side 12. Moreover, between the substrate 3 and the ink layer 2 a release layer 8 made of, for example, a fatty amide wax is provided. An ink in the ink layer 2 in the vicinity of the surface side 12 sufficiently penetrates into a recording paper 1, and then transfers thereto. An ink containing a large amount of the resin ingredient on the side of the substrate 3 is transferred as a hard coating on the surface of the recording paper 1; thus a sharp printing superior in fixing properties can be obtained. On the other hand, when a thermal transfer ink ribbon 4 is pressed and heated by a thermal head, the ink layer 2 is stably separated from the substrate 3 due to the release layer 8 to be transferred to the recording paper 1. Furthermore, since the total amount of the ingredient of the thermoplastic resin 7 contained in the ink layer 2 is small, a melt-transfer can be conducted with a lower energy of the thermal head.
