PURPOSE:To increase a torque capacity by facing a cylinder to be shrink-fitted to a rotor shaft to front and rear terminal boards to be stood on the terminal boards, thereby eliminating excess spaces longitudinally of the shaft. CONSTITUTION:In a field unit of the type in which a yoke 22 having laminated sector-shaped electrode steel plates 24 is interposed between rectangular permanent magnets 26, the front and rear ends are interposed between a front terminal board 10 of nonmagnetic material on which a cylinder 14 is stood at the center and a rear terminal board 12 in which the other opposed cylinder 16 is stood at the center. The field unit clamped with bolts 28 at the boards 10, 12 is inserted to be connected to a rotor shaft 18.
