PURPOSE:To attain a compact device by constituting the titled recorder of a sub-scanning mirror for reflecting a reflected light from a display recording switching mirror again and deflecting the reflected light to a vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:The display recording switching mirror 35 is controlled to change an angle and the reflected light strikes against an electrostatic recording drum 32, the titled recorder is acted as a picture recorder. When the angle of the display recording switching mirror 35 is changed and the light strikes against a laser writing type display 31, the titled recorder is acted as a picture display device. The output light of a laser light source 33 deflected to a horizontal direction is reflected by the display recording switching mirror 35, projected on the electrostatic recording drum 32 and recorded on a recording paper. When the display recording switching mirror 35 is externally controlled, the reflecting angle is changed, the reflected light is projected on the sub-scanning mirror 36, reflected again and projected on the laser writing type display 31. At this time, the sub-scanning mirror 36 deflects the reflected light to the vertical direction, so that a picture can be formed on the screen of the laser writing type display 31.
