PURPOSE:To accelerate polymerization reaction and obtain the titled resin useful as optical elements, etc., with excellent productivity by subjecting a specific polymerizable mixture to urethane bonding reaction and polymerizing the resultant product in the presence of a multicomponent based radical polymerization initiator. CONSTITUTION:The aimed resin obtained by previously subjecting (A) a polymerizable mixture, consisting of (i) a polyfunctional isocyanate compound, (ii) a compound having hydroxyl group and (meth)acryl group, (iii) a dihydroxyl compound and (iv) a vinyl based monomer and containing at least one of chlorine, bromine group and aromatic ring in either one or both of the components (i) and (ii) to urethane bonding or simultaneously polymerizing (B) a multicomponent based radical polymerization initiator consisting essentially of (v) a polymerization initiating main agent and (vi) a polymerization accelerator. Either of the components (ii) and (iii) or both contain at least one of chlorine group, bromine group and aromatic rings.
