The invention relates to a preprogrammable electrical control device for a multiplicity of motors, other drives, optical or acoustical signals, illuminations etc. as determined by a multiplicity of input signals in accordance with a predetermined program, particularly for controlling particular components of a large garage such as doors, barriers, light signals and illumination and ventilation devices and so forth. The invention consists of a central control unit which contains input terminals for connecting all pulse lines, output terminals for connecting all output command pulse lines for the units to be controlled, and an exchangeable electrically programmable and reprogrammable read-only program memory (EPROM) which is connected between these terminals, and the associated controller of which memory is assembled from individually exchangeable plug-in modules.
