摘要 In order to reduce the combustion noise from a diesel internal combustion engine, the injection period in a fuel injection pump is extended in that at low speed and low fuel delivery the start of fuel delivery is controlled. In order to obtain a short injection period at full load or high engine speed, the end of fuel delivery is controlled. For this purpose, the pump piston (14) has two control bores (24, 25), arranged at a distance from one another, which are covered by a control slide valve (26), are axially displaceable on the pump piston (14) and are closed or exposed in the course of the pump piston stroke according to the position of the control slide valve (26). The control slide valve (26) is adjusted from start of delivery control to end of delivery control between two injections. <IMAGE>
