PURPOSE:To form a uniform cured coated film, by coating a paint consisting of an UV-curing type resin on one side of a thin-gage polymeric film, firmly attaching the other side of the film to the surface of a rotary metallic roll wherein a liq. coolant flows, and projecting UV rays. CONSTITUTION:The paint consisting of at least an UV-curing type resin and a reaction initiator is coated at a coating part 10 on one side of the polymeric film having <=200mu thickness, and the other side of the film is firmly attached to the surface of the rotary metallic roll 3 having a uniform surface and wherein a liq. coolant flows. UV rays are projected on the attached parts from irradiation lamps 4-9 to cure the UV-curing type resin to form the cured coated film on the polymeric film. Namely, the thermal influence of the irradiation lamp can be completely eliminated even when a thin-gage polymeric film having <=200mu thickness is used, coating can be stably carried out for a long time, such trouble as the contamination of the liq. coolant can be completely eliminated, a uniform cured coated film can be formed, and coating can be carried out at high speed by setting many irradiation lamps.
