<p>In a valve, a) a valve housing 1 having an inlet 2 and an outlet 3 for fluid, and b) a ball-shaped valve body 4 being rotatably journalled in the valve housing 1 between the inlet 2 and the outlet 3 and sealed against the valve housing, the valve body being designed with through passageways 8-10; 14, 15 for fluid, the new matter consists of c) an annular chamber 5 being formed between the valve housing 1 and the valve body 4, and d) the valves being designed such that the passageways 8-10; 14, 15 terminate in the annular chamber 5 when the valves are closed, and in the inlet 2 and the outlet 3 when the valve is fully open. Hereby, a reduction is attained of the risk for cavitation and/or noise forming by flow under high pressure. <IMAGE></p> |
