The invention relates to the design and production of a lightweight construction element (LKE), in the case of which the element structure (wall or bar) is made up of regularly or irregularly arranged filaments, wires or bars. On production of the elements, the points or lines of contact are fixedly connected to one another. For manufacturing, the introduction of external forces or the fastening of connection parts, caps, internal and/or external casings may be provided.
