PURPOSE:To more clearly display picture data by converting and modulating hand written picture data information to an electric signal, outputting to a transmission line and demodulating and displaying picture data inputted and modulated through the transmission line by the use of a full duplex modulating and demodulating means. CONSTITUTION:The attendance of the conference plots a picture on a tablet T1 or T3 with a pen or the like or plots the picture on a screen board SB by the use of a write pen W, thereby, a video signal processing part 4 transmits the digital picture signal of the plotted picture to the video conference device of a remote side through the transmission part 3a of a mode switching device 3, the full duplex modulator and demodulator 10, a BPF 6, hybrid circuit 7 and a telephone line 9 and further the signal is outputted to the video signal processing part 4 through the hybrid circuit 7 of the device of the remote side, the BPF 6, the full duplex modulator and demodulator 10 and the receiving part 3b of the mode switching device 3. Thereby, the picture data can be more clearly displayed or outputted in comparison with the case when the picture signal is photographed and transmitted by the use of a video camera VC.
