The invention relates to a flame-spraying material having a high silicon dioxide content which is particularly suitable for repairing silica walls of a coke oven and contains from 93.9 to 99.6% by weight of SiO2, from 0 to 1.5% by weight of Al2O3, from 0 to less than 2.4% by weight of CaO, from 0 to 1.0% by weight of Fe2O3 and from 0.04 to 2.0% by weight of Na2O.
