With known valves for process control and the like, the incoming and outgoing connections for the medium are aligned in various directions, complicating the installation of the valve and the connection of the conductors. The intention with the new valve is to achieve a simplification of installation and ease of access for connection of the conductors in an easily visible manner. For this purpose, the incoming and outgoing connections for the medium are provided together on a single side of the valve body and can project from the front side of an appliance. The valve can be used for control and regulating units for distillation processes or the like.
