Vehicle roof with two covers

Vehicle roof with a fixed roof surface which has a continuous roof opening. The roof opening can be either closed or at least partially uncovered by means of two covers lying one behind the other in the closed position of the said roof opening. The rear cover is of removable design. The front cover can be moved out with its rear edge over the fixed roof surface and displaced rearward until, with the rear cover removed, it projects rearwards with its rear part over the rear edge of the roof opening. The rear cover which is located in the closed position serves as stop for limiting the rearward displacement movement of the front cover (Fig. 13). <IMAGE>
