<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device itself, by forming a sheet body by bending the carrying path of the sheet body. CONSTITUTION:A first carrying belt 18 is extended vertically, and is curved so as to be directed in a horizontal direction at the inner corner part of an image reader 10, and a sub scan carrying means 20 is provided being separated by a small distance from its terminating part. The sub scan carrying means 20 consists of a pair of rollers 22 and a pair of rollers 24. In a sheet body carrying mechanism 42, rollers 66 and 68 constituting a first pair of rollers 52 and a second pair of rollers 54 respectively, and a displacing means to displace rollers 66a and 68a in a direction to separate them respectively, are arranged. In such a way, it is possible to miniaturize the device itself without giving unnecessary shock on the sheet body in scanning.</p> |
