摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of problems such as washout in the treatment with zinc phosphate, etc., by adjusting the viscosity of a polyvinyl chloride material having high viscosity to an easily coatable viscosity by heating, and using the material for a filler for the inside of hemmed parts and for a sealer for terminal parts of the hemmed parts. CONSTITUTION:The viscosity of a polyvinyl chloride material having high viscosity of 3,000-7,000 poise is adjusted to an easily coatable viscosity by heating, and the material is coated on a hollow space 4 between an outer panel 1 and an inner panel 2, and joint part 5 of a terminal end of the outer panel 1 to the inner panel 2, of a hemmed part 3. Since the viscosity of the material is increased in a zinc phosphate treating stage and cationic electrodeposition coating stage even if it is not precured, there is no fear for causing washout. Moreover, since no expensive apparatus, etc. is necessary, an article having superior rust preventing effect is obtd. by an inexpensive process having high operability.
