Device for clamping foils

When printing on foils, the foil must be fastened by a pair of clamping strips between which the foil is guided. In this case, one of the two clamping strips is designed as a magnetic body with a coil of an electromagnet and the other is designed as an associated armature. As a result, the foil can be clamped securely, and the clamping operation takes place directly after triggering the clamping command. The magnetic body has an E-shaped cross-section, and elastic buffers are provided between the armature and the magnetic body.
