PURPOSE:To easily copy a monochromatic original in two colors by monochromatically copying the original on a transparent transfer paper, whose rear side is coated with a color B, with transparent toner of a color A and removing the coating layer of the color B on the rear side of an image part to be copied in the color A to obtain a second original and performing the two-color copy process. CONSTITUTION:The optical image of the monochromatic original is exposed on a photosensitive body 10 and is developed with transparent red toner by a developing device 18 and is transferred to a transparent transfer paper SO whose rear side is coated with green. The second original where the green coating layer on the rear side of the image part to be copied in red of this monochromatic copy is removed and a white original back plate are used to perform the two-color copy process, and a desired two-color copy is obtained. Thus, the original is not stained at the time of bicolor copying because the monochromatic copy of the original is used to obtain the second original, and an optional image part of the monochromatic black image is easily and surely copied chromatically, and further, failure in image copying does not occur.
