PURPOSE:To prevent the failure of starting and operate the title motor stably, by a method wherein a rotor is decided upon starting whether it is rotated or not and starting by positional detection or the starting of synchronized rotation, effected by the rotary magnetic field of a low frequency, is selected. CONSTITUTION:Commutatorless motors 8-11, employed for driving fans or the like, are driven by switching elements 2-7, connected to a driving means 1 through 3-phase bridge connection. A driving circuit detects the position of a rotor 11 by a position detecting means 12 while the gate signals of said switching elements 2-7 are outputted by a conduction control means 13. Further, a signal generating means 14, a starting method determining means 15 and an operation switching means 16 are provided in the title motor to monitor the outputting condition of the position detecting means 12 before starting, output a commanding signal, commanding the operation switching means 16 whether the motor is started by the signal generating means 14 or the starting effected by the conduction control means 13, and switch a gate control signal. According to this method, the failure of starting will never be generated and the motor may be operated instantaneously. |
