发明名称 Emergency life-saving apparatus for climbers
摘要 According to information supplied by the German Alpine Club and Mountain Rescue Services, one thousand climbers fell to their deaths in the whole of the Alps in 1986 alone, including many well equipped and experienced climbers and fewer "track shoe tourists". It is also officially confirmed that climbers attached to ropes, if they fall, can easily pull other climbers attached to the same rope to their deaths with them. The present invention demonstrates how with the aid of individual balloons, which can be inflated in seconds, a falling climber can have his fall arrested by the supporting power of the balloons and float down to life-saving solid ground. Technical: 3-4 balloons, each of 5 cubic metres capacity, a plurality of gas cartridges (mini-gas bottles), well secured, gas cylinder valves which, in an emergency, let the gas escape into the balloons at lightening speed. Always ready to hand: rip-cord for gas valve opening and balloon ejection. All in a box-shaped small container in the upper part of a back-pack frame, the balloon retaining lines being firmly anchored to and secured on the frame. With observance of certain safety checks, valve system, balloon retaining hooks, safety belts, this invention can in future reliably save the lives of many climbers who would otherwise have suffered fatal falls.
