PURPOSE:To make a telephone call from the inside of a building to the outside more conveniently than ever without causing the forgetting of an operation or a mis-operation, by sending a dial signal for outgoing a line wire to a telephone line corresponding to the reading of a recorded telephone number from a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:On a telephone set, a bar code reader 7 of a pen shape to read a telephone number recorded on the surface of a business card C that is bar- coded and one example of the recording medium is provided. The bar code reader 7 is connected to a control circuit in a cabinet 1 via a connection cord 8. While a selection knob 10 is selected to a side to send the dial signal for outgoing the line wire automatically, and when the telephone number is read by using the bar code reader 7, a line wire outgoing part is operated by receiving a control signal from the line wire outgoing control means of a control CPU, and the dial signal for outgoing the line wire is sent to the telephone line.
