PURPOSE:To execute an axial alignment of an optical fiber with high accuracy by bringing it to a rotational movement without moving it in parallel to the direction vertical to the opposed direction of the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:In one optical path connecting state, a rotary coupling member 3 is pushed forward by a push-spring 14 and abuts on the end face of the rotary coupling member 3, a positioning pin 8 and a positioning pin 9 are inserted into a pin fitting hole 10 and a pin fitting hole 11, respectively, a first optical fiber 4 and a third optical fiber 6 are coupled, and a second optical fiber 5 and a fourth optical fiber 7 are coupled. In this regard, the positioning pins 8, 9 and the pin fitting holes 10, 11 are used for bringing the optical fibers 4-7 to an axial alignment, the inside diameter of the pin fitting holes 10, 11 is set so as to be larger than the outside diameter of the positioning pins 8, 9 in an inlet part, formed so as to be a little larger than the outside diameter of the positioning pins 8, 9 in the inner part of the pin fitting holes 10, 11, and each optical fiber 4-7 of a sliding coupling member 2 and the rotary coupling member 3 is brought to an axial alignment and coupling with high accuracy. |
