PURPOSE:To enable the easy rescue of a victim on water by providing a pair of vertical guide members along a ship's side and moving vertically a slide member fitted with a load carrier along the guide members. CONSTITUTION:A pair of square guide members 7 is provided port and starboard vertically along a ship's side 3. A slit is formed on the outside front of the guide members 7 and the leg member 8 at the internal center of the outside support plate 8a of a slide member 8 is inserted in the slit. A guide wheel 8c is fixed to the leg member 8b and the slide member 8 is made to slide vertically with a drive pulley 28 fitted within a hull via a rope 31. The slide member 8 is fitted with a support bed 17 capable of turn in horizontally and vertical directions with an axis 9. The support bed 17 when not in use is kept vertically at the upper part of the guide members 7 and locked with a hook member 22. The support bed 17 when used is released from the hook member 22, made horizontal, slided downward to a water level and lifted after placing a victim thereon.
