PURPOSE:To provide a breather tube device for a fuel tank used on a car, wherein the breather tube is well prevented from clogging, by furnishing a cylinder pump which operates interlocked with insertion of a gun into a fuel refill port, and putting the pump in communication with the lower portion of the bend of a breather tube. CONSTITUTION:When a fuel refill gun 31 is inserted in a refill port tube 21 and a valve 26 is pushed, a rod 28 turns an acting direction inverting lever 27 counterclockwise to cause pull of an inner wire 16. This retracts the piston 14 of a cylinder pump 13 to allow suction of the counterflow fuel stagnating in the bend 6. This empties the bend 6 to restore the air bleeding function of the breather tube 5 at the time of refilling the fuel. |
