PURPOSE:To decrease a transmission loss by opposing the end faces of two connector ferrules, by bringing a guide bar racked and extended to both connector ferrules to press-contacting elastically and engaging it to both these end parts. CONSTITUTION:In an optical fiber connector 1, a pair of guide bars 6, 7 energized by a first pressing members 8 (8a, 8b) are engaged to recessed grooves 10, respectively of both side parts of both connector ferrules 4, 5 being in a butting state, and also, a second pressing member 9 is installed to both connector ferrules 4, 5, and its pressing part 14 is allowed to abut elastically on the respective other end faces. In such a way, by the guide bars 6, 7, both connector ferrules 4, 5 and axes of optical fibers 2, 3 installed to these ferrules are allowed to coincide with each other, and also, by the elastic force of the pressing part 14 formed on the second pressing member 9, one end face of both connector ferrules 4, 5 and the connecting end face of the optical fibers 2, 3 are brought into contact with each other under pressure, by which a connection of both optical fibers 2, 3 is executed surely.
