A blade lift and support system (5) for a road grader which is of simplified construction and improved geometry. According to one embodiment, the adjustment of the beam (4) and associated grader blade (9) is fully hydraulically controlled including locking of the beam (4) in a desired position and maintaining the beam position by a hydraulic fluid lock (34). This preferred arrangement permits full power adjustment of the high-lift (5) while the blade (9) is in a lifted condition. The particular beam (4) shape improves the position of the cylinders (6, 16) to effect positioning the blade (9) for working. |
