PURPOSE:To obtain a diagnostic agent for renal function containing a chelate of <45>Ti with ascorbic acid, etc., as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A diagnostic agent for renal function obtained by containing a chelate of <45>Ti which is a position-releasing nuclide with ascorbic acid (AsA), dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) or diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) as an active ingredient and, as necessary, optional adjuvant ingredient (e.g. pH adjustor, stabilizer, etc.). When this diagnostic agent is administered, intrarenal kinetics are exhibited according to function thereof-glomerulus (cortex) function and renal tubular (medulla) function-in the kidney. Thereby intrarenal kinetics after administration are investigated by positron computerized tomogra phy (CT) and the results thereof can be compared with those in the case of normal kidney to more precisely diagnose renal function. The diagnostic agent is normally administered by a method for intravenous injection and the dose thereof is not particularly limited, but is normally 100-5muCi.
