PURPOSE:To obtain a compact and high quality rotary type positive displacement engine with little vibration by storing a cocoon-shaped rotor rotatably in a housing having a strange-shaped inner wall surface with three vertices. CONSTITUTION:A cocoon-shaped rotor 2 is interposed in a housing 1 having a strange-shaped inner wall surface with three vertices, and an ignition plug 13 is provided at one end side of this rotor 2. The plate which is not the sliding place of the housing 1 and thee rotor 2 is made a combustion chamber 9, and an intake port 7 and an exhaust port 8 which communicate with this combustion chamber is formed to a side housing. And while the power axis is angularly rotated by 360 deg., an explosion stroke is carried out at the time of the angular rotation of approximately 240 deg., and it is so operated that all the strokes of intake, compression and exhaust are carried out during that period. |
