发明名称 ULTRAVIOLET-RAY RADIATION DISCHARGE LAMP
摘要 PURPOSE:To enlarge a tube voltage so as to improve an ultraviolet-ray output and ultraviolet-ray radiation maintenance factor by using sealed-in gases such as Ne or He with high ionization voltage in an inner tube. CONSTITUTION:Sealed-in gases of Ne or He in addition to Hg, or said gases and sealed-in gases of Ar or Kr or the like are sealed in a quartz inner tube 1 which has a pair of electrodes 2 on its both ends. Ne and He and the like which are sealed in the inner tube 1 are further also sealed in an outer tube 6. Lead wires 4 of the electrodes 2 in the inner tube are connected with lead wires 8 in the outer tube. In order that a temperature of a luminous part of the inner tube 1 during operation is made to be 400 deg.C or more and a temperature of the outer tube 6 during operation is made to be 150 deg.C or less, diameters of inner and outer tubes are selected in accordance with tube inputs. Thus, stable ultraviolet-ray radiation of high output can be obtained during performance of the lamp, and lowering in an ultraviolet-ray radiation maintenance factor during performance of the lamp can be reduced because of no coloring due to adhesion of HgO on the inner tube. Namely the radiation of ultraviolet rays and the ultraviolet-ray radiation maintenance factor can be improved.
