A sweetening composition for an animal feedstuff comprises saccharin and a protein sweetener, the protein sweetener masking the bitter, metallic after taste of the saccharin and being present in an amount less than that required to produce a sweetening effect. The invention also provides an animal feedstuff containing such composiiton wherein the protein sweetener, which is preferably thaumatin or monellin, is present in an amount of up to 0.8 ppm in the animal feedstuff. |
