摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a reflection mirror superior in shock-resisting capacity by interposing a thermosetting adhesive between a glass plate having a reflecting surface and a base plate whose coefficient of linear expansion is higher than that of this glass plate and joining them by heating and gradually cooling them to a normal temperature. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting adhesive 12 is interposed between a base plate 1 and a glass plate 2, and they are put on a supporting base 14 in a furnace 13 and the heated at about 120 deg.C for several hours to join the glass plate 2 to the base plate 1. At this time, the thermosetting adhesive 12 interposed between the base plate 1 and the glass plate 2 is hardened. If they are gradually cooled to a normal temperature in the furnace 13, compressive stress remains in the glass plate 2 because the coefficient of linear expansion of the glass plate is lower than that of the base plate 1. Thus, a proportion of tensile allowable stress to compressive allowable stress of the glass plate is increased, and as the result, the reflection mirror superior in shock-resisting capacity is obtained.
