PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, inexpensive and highly safe device by spraying coolant to a circuit element and a heat sink, submerging them in coolant, and evaporating the coolant and retaining an insulation via evaporated vapor phase coolant. CONSTITUTION:A stack 9a in which a circuit element 7 such as a thyristor and a heat sink 8 are closely integrated is contained in a sealed vessel 1, part of the stack 9a is dipped in liquid coolant 19 in the bottom of the vessel 1, the liquid phase coolant 19 is sprayed from the coolant storage vessel 15 into a distribution pipe 16 to the heat sink 8. Cooling is performed by evaporation into the coolant 19 by dipping and spraying, and preferable insulation is retained by the vapor phase coolant 20 by evaporating. Further, the coolant 19 is heated and evaporated by a heater 21 at the operation starting time, the coolant 20 is liquefied by a condenser 17, and dropped in the vessel 15. Further, to control the spraying, a valve 22 is provided at the main pipe 23. |
