PURPOSE:To readily obtain a health drink at a low cost, by inoculating a mold starter in a special solid culture medium, multiplying the mold starter, pulverizing the resultant mycelia together with the culture medium, drying the pulverized material in a vacuum tank and extracting active ingredients with water. CONSTITUTION:Sawdust and rice bran are used as substrates and chaff or bran or both added thereto to prepare a solid culture medium. A mold starter, e.g. SHIITAKE mushroom, etc., is inoculated therein to multiply basidiomycetous mycelia, which are then pulverized together with the culture medium. The pulverized material is subsequently placed in a vacuum tank, heated (preferably to 70 deg.C), rapidly decompressed and dried. Active ingredients are then extracted with water. |
