The invention relates to an apparatus for mixing granular materials with clay or cement, in particular clay-bonded moulding sands. The invention can be used primarily in the foundry industry. In a fixed mixing vat with centrally arranged mixing blades sweeping over the entire bottom of the vat and two groups of tools immersed into the mixing vat from above, at least two further mixing/kneading blades are arranged in a plane above the mixing blades sweeping over the bottom of the vat, offset with respect to the said blades. One of the two groups of tools extending into the mixing vat from above is a kneading tool, the range of action of which partially enters into that of the mixing/kneading blades. The other group of tools is a loosening tool. The outer ends of the mixing/kneading blades are designed such that they are curved counter to their direction of rotation and fork-shaped. Arranged on the mixing blades sweeping over the bottom of the vat are wearing plates, which in groups are offset with respect to one another in their distance from the bottom of the vat. The mixing blades and the groups of tools can be driven in the same direction. <IMAGE> |
