PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of bacteria, fungi, etc., in dehydrated liquid and to enable repeated use of dehydration liquid without causing discoloration, by connecting an ultraviolet irradiation apparatus and an ozone supplying apparatus to a feed immersion tank containing a dehydration liquid. CONSTITUTION:A sterilization cylinder 2 is placed at one side of a food immersion tank 1 containing a dehydration liquid such as starch syrup, concentrated aqueous solution of sucrose, propylene glycol, glucose, high fructose corn syrup, fructose, etc. The sterilization cylinder 2 is provided with an ultraviolet irradiation apparatus 4 having an ultraviolet lamp 3 and an ozone supplying apparatus 5. The dehydration liquid in the food immersion tank 1 is transferred to the sterilization cylinder 2 through a pipe 7 with a pump 6 and returned to the tank 1 through a return pipe 8. |
