PURPOSE:To reduce depression of a roll sleeve and to obtain a rapidly cooled strip having a little deviation of the thickness by cutting grooves for supplying/discharging cooling water at roll shaft side in parallel at the fixed angle to the roll shaft direction. CONSTITUTION:On the outer circumferential face of the roll shaft 3, plural grooves 4 for supplying/discharging cooling water are cut as inclining in mutually parallel to the roll shaft 3 direction at the fixed angle. The groove for supplying cooling water and the groove for discharging cooling water make a pair and the grooves 4 for supplying/discharging cooling water are arranged at pieces of even number and the cooling water supplied from the groove for supplying cooling water uniformly flows between the roll shaft 3 and the roll sleeve 1, especially the grooves 6 for cooling water passage arranged as equal intervals toward the shaft direction. And, the roll sleeve 1 is uniformly cooled, and the cooling water is flowed in the groove for discharging cooling water and at last discharged from the roll. In this way, as the grooves 4 for supplying/discharging are arranged in mutually parallel as equal intervals at the fixed angle to the shaft direction of the roll shaft 3, the cooling water quantity at the circumferential direction is uniformly flowed and uniformly cooled. |
