PURPOSE:To reduce the power which is required for starting a motor in order to minimize the size thereof by providing rotary valves inside the bottom parts of flow-down reservoirs which are continuously formed at the left and right sides of the lower part of a grain storage chamber and coincidently driving and connecting rotary valves by means of an endless chain so as to transmit the driving power thereof to each of the valves. CONSTITUTION:A grain dryer sends hot air against flow-down reservoirs B which are continuously formed on the left and right sides of a storage chamber A and made up by a porous plates, thereby drying the grain, and discharges it into a grain collection chamber C via rotary valves R. The driving chain wheels 1 and 2 of the left and right rotary valves 1 and 2 are coincidently driven to turn via a chain 4 by the driving revolution of a main driving chain wheel 3. Tension-applying chain wheels 6 and 7 are provided between the left and right chain wheels 1 and 2 and between the chain wheels 2 and 3, respectively and are applied by springs 8 and 9 in the direction of tensing the chain 4, respectively. The spring 8 shall have a spring force greater than that of the spring 9 and will not have the chain wheel 2 turn until the chain 4 between the chain wheels 1 and 2 gets tensile after the turn of the chain wheel 1. |
