摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the shape and size of a body to be measured by a simple structure with high accuracy without contacting by measuring the shape and size of the body to be measured directly from the center position of gravity of a scanning beam by utilizing part of light separated from a parallel scanning beam. CONSTITUTION:When the body 5 to be measured is set and measuring operation is started, a parallel scanning beam generating means 10 generates the parallel scanning beam 3 which move in a Y direction. A beam position detecting circuit 50 receives part of the beam 3 separated by a light splitting means 40 and outputs a position signal which varies momentarily. A scanning signal detecting means 20, on the other hand, outputs the edge corresponding signal (e) of the body 5 to be measured. Then a measuring circuit 60 processes a segment specifying signal outputted by a segment selecting circuit 30 and a signal (c) outputted by the means 50 to find the diameter D of the body 5 to be measured. The measured value is displayed digitally on a digital display device which forms an output means 70.
