CUTTING OF ORGANIC MEMBRANE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to cut an organic membrane without occurrence of foreign substances such as waste and the like, by adhering the organic membrane on a frame and the like, and dissolving and cutting the protruding part of the membrane from the frame with an organic solvent injected from a needle moving along the side face of the frame. CONSTITUTION:A needle 1 is pierced through a pellicle membrane 2 from the upper side thereof or pierced it through while the membrane is being perforated with an organic solvent dropping from the apex of the needle. The needle is situated by the side edge face of a pellicle frame 3 with a proper clearance being capable of making a capillary tube phenomenon. The organic solvent injected from the apex or the proper point of the needle is allowed to raise along the clearance due to the capillary tube phenomenon and contacted with the membrane face to dissolve the membrane while the needle 1 is being moved in the perpendicular direction to the figure along the side edge face of the frame with keeping the clearance. Cutting of the membrane along the frame can be thereby carried out.
