<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a key input device by setting the size, the color, etc., of each key of an input device, storing temporarily those set various information and also controlling these information in a prescribed procedure. CONSTITUTION:An operator turns on a power source and also sets a setting mode to set the size, the color, the function, etc., of each key. These set information are temporarily stored in a memory 24. When all the keys are through with setting operation, the operator changes the setting mode to an operation mode. In this operation mode a panel control means 26 reads out the information stored in the memory 124 according to the procedure stored previously. Then the designated size, color, function, etc., are given to each key and a key input device is set under an operable state. Thus it is possible to set optionally the size of each key and also to identify the adjacent keys in different colors. Then a desired key can be identified from other keys. As a result, the key input operability is improved.</p> |
