PURPOSE:To clamp a cross fin coil without applying a force over necessity by nipping the both edges in the direction of stage of the cross fin coil by a plurality of holding blocks connected in the axial direction of each heat transfer pipe onto a pair of connecting bodies. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of driving mechanisms 101 are selectively operated according to the length in the direction of x-axis of the heat transfer pipe of a cross fin coil 21, and only a necessary holding plate 102 is pushed out and restrained. Then, a plurality of holding blocks 106 and 106' connected with the both connecting bodies 103 and 103, through a screw shaft 107 are set close along each holding plate 102 by the feed/forward control of a motor 108, and the cross fin coil 21 is supported in the direction of y-stage, and positioning is performed with high precision. Therefore, the cross fin coil is not restrained in the direction of stage over necessity, and generation of curvature on the fin in the posterior pipe spreading treatment is prevented, and the pipe spreading treatment can be executed easily.
