PURPOSE:To continuously control the coloring density by changing the frequency and the duty ratio of a pulse alternating square wave voltage. CONSTITUTION:The pulse width, namely, the application time of a square wave voltage 2 applied for achromatization is fixed (5msec) and the pulse width of a square wave voltage 1 applied to coloring is changed to control switching between the achromatized state or the coloring state, or the pulse width, namely, the application time of the square wave voltage 1 for coloring is fixed (10msec) and the pulse width of the square wave 2 for achromatization is changed to control coloring and achromatization. Thus, the coloring density of an EC element is continuously controlled to properly control the reflection factor of an EC dazzleproof mirror.
