PURPOSE:To enable printing with low energy, ensure high sensitivity and prevent printed density from being lowered with an increase in the number of times of use, by providing a heat-fusible ink layer on a base film, and providing a transfer controlling layer on the ink layer, the controlling layer comprising particulates of a heat-fusible ink supported by a hardened continuous layer of a thermosetting resin or radiation-curable compound. CONSTITUTION:A heat-fusible ink layer 2 is provided on a base film 1, and a transfer controlling layer 3 is provided thereon. The controlling layer 3 comprises particulates of a heat-fusible ink dispersed in and supported by a hardened continuous layer of a thermosetting resin or radiation-curable compound. The controlling layer can be obtained by a method wherein a coating liquid prepared by mixing the particulates of the ink with a solution of a thermosetting and/or radiation-curable compound incompatible with the particulates is applied, followed by heating or irradiation with UV rays or electron rays. The solid resin component in the hardened resin is preferably used in an amount of 50-200 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the heat-fusible ink. |
