PURPOSE:To raise a shielding efficiency of a magnetic head against a leakage magnetic flux from the outside by enlarging a sectional area of the vicinity of a slider surface of a core side face, reducing a sectional area of a slider except said part, and sticking a magnetic plate to the side face. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head consists of a slider surface vicinity part 11, a slider part 12 (B part), a magnetic plate 13, an escape part 15 of a winding coil, an upper face 14 of the slider (B part), a gimbals 23 fixed onto said face, and a jacket 22. A sectional area of the slider surface vicinity part 11 of the slider is enlarged, a sectional area of other slider (B) is reduced, and the magnetic plate 13 is stuck to the side face, by which a shielding efficiency of the magnetic head against a leakage magnetic flux from the outside is raised. |
