PURPOSE:To constitute a titled plate so that an original is not shifted when a platen cover is closed, by providing a gripper mechanism on one end edge of a transparent plate for placing an original, and gripping and fixing the end edge of the original. CONSTITUTION:A resist guide 4 having a thin projecting piece 6 in a supporting shaft 5 is installed so as to be movable up and down, between one end face 3a of a transparent plate 3 and a side face 2a of an opening 2, and energized so that the transparent plate 3 is pressed to stick by a spring 7, by which a gripper mechanism is constituted. In case when there are a folding, wrinkles, curl, etc. on an original, one end of the original is inserted into the gripper mechanism, and the original is held and fixed between an upper face 3b of the transparent plate 3 and the projecting piece 6. Accordingly, when a platen cover 8 is closed, the original is not shifted. |
