PURPOSE:To compensate the phase difference of a reproducing clock and the recording clock irrespective of a radial position of an optical head, by controlling a timing by which a recording light is radiated, based on the recording clock obtained by bringing the reproducing clock to phase shift. CONSTITUTION:As for a reproducing clock 52a which has been reproduced, and also, extracted by a reproducing light 18 and a clock reproducing circuit 19, its phase is brought to phase shift, for instance, so as to be in inverse proportion to a radius (r) by a phase shifter 54, and outputted as a recording clock 52b to a control circuit 53. Based on this recording clock 52b, a timing by which a recording light 17 is radiated is controlled by the control circuit 53. Accordingly, the phase difference of laser beams 17, 18 is held at a prescribed value irrespective of the radius (r), therefore, the phase difference of the reproducing clock 52a and the recording clock 52b is compensated,and for instance, by setting a distance extending from an address information pit 41 to a recording pit 33 to a set value, the recording pit 33 can be formed. |
