摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the titled medium having good S/N, excellent reproduction characteristic and less deterioration with lapse of time by adding noble metals such as Au, Ag, Pt, and Pd to a thin amorphous magnetic film alloy contg. Pr. CONSTITUTION:The thin amorphous magnetic film having the compsn. expressed by the formula PralphaMbetaRgamma [M: >=one kinds of elements among Fe, Co and Ni, R: >=one kinds of elements among Au, Ag, Pt, and Pd, 14<=alpha<=30, 60<=beta<=85, 0.1<=gamma<=10, alpha+beta+gamma=100(at%)] is formed by a sputtering method or vacuum deposition method in such a manner that the axis of easy magnetization faces the direction perpendicular to the film plane. The recording medium which has large reflectivity and Kerr rotating angle, excellent environmental resistance, S/N, and reproduction characteristic and the less deterioration with lapse of time is thereby obtd.
