PURPOSE:To eliminate the deformation of a resin coated lens accompanied by mold release and to shorten a mold release time, by a method wherein a vibration oscillator is arranged so as to be connected to a lens insert-die and vibration energy is applied thereto. CONSTITUTION:A spherical lens 1 is mounted on the lens seat 5a of a stand 5 so that the surface, to which a resin layer is desired to be applied in a desired contour, of said lens is turned downwardly. The lens 1 is fixed and a lens insert- die 3 is raised to form a gap 2 having a predetermined dimension between both of them and a molding machine is started and a predetermined amount of an ultraviolet curable type acrylic resin is injected in the gap 2 and cured by ultraviolet rays. After a resin coated lens is molded, said lens is detached and a power amplifier 11 is turned ON to supply vibration energy to a vibration generating unit 8 and the generated exciting force is applied to the lens insert core 3. As a result, uniform release force is generated over the entire surface of the lens and the resin coated lens is perfectly released from the outer peripheral part thereof within a short time.
