PURPOSE:To enable detecting surely a rise of pantograph by turning ON and OFF an optical path for an optical cable through a rotating operation of main shaft accompanying said rise of pantograph. CONSTITUTION:When a pantograph 1 is lowered, an optical path between collimators 16a and 16b is not intercepted by a pin 14. Thus, the light from a light emitting diode 17a within a rise sensor 17 passes through an optical cable 15a, collimators 16a, 16b and an optical cable 15b and is received and sensed by a photosensor 17b. On the other hand, if a frame 5 of the pantograph 1 rises by a turning force of main shafts A, B, the pin also turns with turning of the main shaft A. Accordingly, the pin 14 comes to intercept the optical path between the collimators 16a, 16b so that incident light to the photosensor 17b is also intercepted.
