PURPOSE:To store a cartridge easily in a short time and exactly by providing a feed and discharge mechanism on the end part of a shelf, feeding and discharging the cartridge from the outside to the shelf, or from the shelf to the outside, and also, providing a detecting means in the mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A shelf 2 is provided on a floor plate 7 in a shape of a circular arc, and in the shelf 2, plural cartridges 4 which has stored a disk in the inside are stored. This cartridge 4 is carried to a player 5 by a carry 3,and sound recording and reproduction are executed. Also, on the end part of the shelf 2, a cartridge feed and discharge mechanism 10 is provided, and to a door 11 of the mechanism 10, a pocket side plate is attached in order to form a pocket. In this state, when the cartridge 4 is inserted into the pocket, an inserted state is confirmed through a photosensor provided on the lower face of the door 11, and also, a state before and behind the cartridge 4 is confirmed through a reflection type photosensor. As a result, when it is confirmed that the cartridge 4 has been inserted exactly, the door 11 is closed and the cartridge 4 can be stored easily in a short time, and also, exactly.
