PURPOSE:To prevent the density of a copied image from being changed by a temp. change, continuation of use and change of a variable power mode by correcting the correction value obtd. according to the temp. and degree of fatigue of a photosensitive body by the coefft. of dependency on variable power and controlling the electrostatic charge current of an electrostatic charge electrode and/or the voltage of an exposing lamp. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the photosensitive drum is subjected to high-voltage electrostatic charge, latent image formation, etc., and the state thereof changes with temp. The fatigue is accumulated therein by the cumulation of use, by which the electrostatic charge potential is changed and the density of the latent image is changed. The linear speed of the photosensitive drum changes when the variable power is changed and, therefore, the density receives an influence. The correction value is obtd. according to the temp. and degree of fatigue of the photosensitive body and is corrected by the coefft. of the dependency on the variable power for the above- mentioned purpose. The electrostatic charge current of the electrostatic charge electrode and/or the voltage of the exposing lamp is then controlled. The influence of the temp. and fatigue of the photosensitive body and the influence of the variable power are thereby compensated and the copied image having the adequate density is obtd. |
